2025 Scottish World Congress and Gathering

We are delighted to announce that this much-anticipated event, ‘Return to the Highlands’ is taking place 6-14 October 2025.

Visit some of the most famous folds in the world and attend the 128th Annual Autumn Show and Sale with Gala Dinner. The booking conditions are listed below, along with a downloadable booking form.

Booking conditions

Arrival and departure airports

6 October – Arrival into Glasgow, walking distance to hotel.

Glasgow – On arrival you will be able to walk from the airport to the Holiday Inn Glasgow Airport, included in your tour cost.

Edinburgh Airport – Transfers are NOT included from Edinburgh Airport. You will need to organise transport at your own expense.

14 October – Departure from Glasgow

The coach will return to the hotel after the Pollock Estate visit. Please allow ONE HOUR for this journey (to allow plenty of time in case traffic is busy) and THREE HOURS for international check-in, so return flights are recommended after 4pm for this visit to be included. Alternatively, if you have an earlier/later departure, you will need to take a taxi at your own expense.

14 October – Departure from Edinburgh

The tour coach will return to the hotel after Pollock Estate visit. Please allow at least ONE HOUR for this journey and if your flight is international, THREE HOURS for checking in plus the transfer time from Glasgow to Edinburgh, so return flights are recommended after 5pm for this transfer to be included. Alternatively, if you have an earlier/later departure, you will need to take a taxi at your own expense. Transfer from Glasgow to Edinburgh not included in the tour price but can be arranged depending on demand.

Transfers and airport hotels

Tour options / Tour extension

It is possible that you may wish to attend only certain aspects of the itinerary and not the whole tour - in this case, contact Libby who can re-work a cost to suit your exact needs. Alternatively, you may wish to extend your stay in the UK and require help with any hotel reservations, car hire, farm visits, air or rail tickets, and again Libby will be happy to assist you, no obligation. Tour accommodation

Rooms have been held as specified in the itinerary. Double rooms contain one double bed and are suitable for two people wishing to share one bed. Twin rooms contain two single beds and are suitable for two people wishing to share a room but not a bed. Single rooms contain one bed and are suitable for one person only. Most hotels will use a twin or double room for single occupancy and the single occupancy supplement is applicable for all single room use. No family rooms are currently being held for this event; these would be subject to availability or the need for multiple rooms. Please be aware that smoking is prohibited in all UK hotels and restaurants. Hotels will be allocated to you on booking. Any preferences/ accessibility requirements should be made known at the time of booking, so we can cater to you effectively. All hotels are within walking distance of the evening dining arrangements.

Tour numbers

The Highland Cattle Congress is limited to 150 people in total. We will not be able to offer day visits until we know how many people will be travelling on the full tour. Bookings will be accepted on a first come first served basis.

Cancellation

Cancellations can only be accepted in writing.

Cancellations received prior to 7 July 2025 are subject to a cancellation fee of 25% per person.

Cancellations received after 7 July 2025 are non-refundable (every effort will be made to refund where possible). All refunds will be made in the form of payment received by Field Farm Tours Ltd.

Meals

Meals are included as per the itinerary. On evenings where dinner is included at the Royal Hotel, please indicate on the booking form if these are required each night to book your table.

Field Farm Tours Ltd and or/Highland Cattle Society reserves the right to cancel or change any event on the itinerary due to registration not being met or exceeded and will substitute comparable services.

Field Farm Tours Ltd and/or Highland Cattle Society will not assume responsibility for cancellations of any event due to weather, traffic, thefts, quarantines, epidemics, force majeur or act of God. In the event of such cancellations, amendment or withdrawal, the monies paid will be refunded, less any fees. Field Farm Tours Ltd and/or Highland Cattle Society do not accept any liability for injuries/losses of whatever nature incurred by the attendee and/or accompanying persons.
